In Burudi, the English language is described as a Foreign language. The strategies used to teach or learn it may not be the same. This means that no exclusive methodology exists for teaching and learning English effectivelv. the teacher has to be more creative and imaginative to help his learners learn English easily and better. The methodology he uses must also depend on the learner'level, their ages... The present study was carried out to explore the issue of using conversations and songs to see whether this technique can help in a way or another to deal with the English teaching and learning at the junior level.

Affer a deep analysis and interpretation of the data from the teachers and learners it has been discovered that :

1°) Conversations and songs contribute to the promotion of the English oral communicative abilities.
2°) Conversations are used as an English teaching technique.
3°) Songs are almost not used as an English teaching technique.
4°) Students learn English trough conversation and songs

The researcher recommended that conversations and songs have to be taken into consideration so that English can be taught and learnt easily and better
