RESUME,
This work examines racism in Richard wrightt's native san.It shows how the idea of white superiority is the root cause of racial segregartion and oppression.It argues that Whites invented the root cause of racial segregation and oppression.It argues that whites invented the ideology of race superiorityfor the purpose of maintaning and defending a system of race superiority for the purpose of maintening and defending a system of wealth,power and privilege.Blacks,oppression.They became frustrated and confront racism by resorting to violence with terrible consequences on practice of racial prejudice in Wright's native son brings about negative consequences on both blacks and whites.It therefore informs and wans different societies in general about the conseques of segregation and oppression.It appreals for social change,unityand cooperation.New historicism approach has centered this work.
