RESUME,
This work examines how corruption is a common theme treated by many african writers,but in Armah's The beautful ones are not yet born,the theme of corruption receives a tremendons emphasis.Armah shows how corruption is rampant in many African states soon after they have got independence.This work also analyses the different variables of corruption.It displays through different characters the society's point of view about corruption.It further points out the effects of corruption at society.Using a Marxist approach,the work reveals to what extent bribery and corruption have affected the minds of africans especially Ghanians,from the leaders down to the lower levels of servants.
