The present study deals with code switching of the Kirundi and the English linguages used by the students of Hope Africa University. It is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the general introduction : it states the main concern of the study. It comprises the statement of the problem, aims of the study, the research questions, the motivation of the study and the scope and delimitation of the study. The second chapter comprises the theoretical framework. It is thus theoretical and reviews the works which have been written in the field of code switching and code mixing. The third chapter displays the methodology. It shows how the relevant data have been collected, that is tape recording of free conversations. Concerning the fourth chapter. Data presentation. Analysis and interpretation. Findings are presented, analyzed and interpreted. The last chapter concludes the work and gives recommendations for further researchers.<br/> |
