Résumé,<br/><br/>This work examines Benjamin Franklin's life as portrayed in his autobiographical work, The Autobiography. t portrays Franklin as a product of hs family, tradition, religion, as well as the prevailing currents of his time.<br/>Using the method of the sociological critic, Hppolye Tain, whch holds tha an author's "race, milieu and moment" determine the work he produces, this work sudes the achievements of Benjamin Franklin as influenced by his family and envronment. In fact, Franklin participated n the development of the world by his inventons in the arts, science and technology. The role he played in socal improvement , in diplmacy, in literature, in economy is scrutinized in this work. His success as a printer, diplmat, and scientist came abou because of conducive familial and environmental circumstances.<br/><br/>The analysis of the chapters led us to conclude that a record of a famly's history s essenal to the progress ot the progeny.<br/> |
