RESUME,<br/><br/>The present work seeks to investigate the causes of Ninth Form pupils' poor performance in the speaking skill in English in basic schools.It is structured around tree research hypothes that are:1.The speaking skill in ninth Form is taught at how level,2.There are many factors that cause the Ninth Form pupils' poor performance in the speaking skill in English,3.Teachers do not promote Ninth Form speaking ability.The research area is Rumonge Commune ,and the sample was made of thirty-nine pupils and seven teachers.To carry out the research,two instruments were used.These are the classroom observation,research,two instruments were used.These are the classroom observation,pupils and teachers'questionnaires.After the data analysis ,it was revealed that methods and techniques use to teach the speaking are not helpful.Furthermore,there are many factors that cause the ninth form pupils' poor performance.<br/>There are teaching materials,time factor ,large classes ,methods and techniques. |
