RESUME
The purpose of this study is to find out the obstacles which hinder the teaching-learning process of the listening skill in the first and second years at "Ecole Normale Supérieure". By means of questionnaires distributed to studients of the first and second years and their listening teachers, it was found out that the way listening skill is taught, the lack of suitable and enough instructional listening materials, sthe big number of students in the classrooms, the lack of motivation and the unfamiliarity of students with different listening activities hinder listening comprehension. After the analysis of the data collected from the respondents in this study, the results were found ; and what should be done in order to improve the teaching-learning process of this skill was also proposed.
