RESUME,
The propose of this study is to investigate the role played by boarding schools in terms of learners' performance and success in English .When carrying out his study.120 respondents were involved,that is,104 students and 16 teachers of English in selected secondary schools in Gitega Municiparity.Teachers questionnaire and pupils' questionnaire were used to collect data.The findings to the study showed that boarding schools have a significant influence o the learners' academic performance in English.Finally the reaearcher formulated a number future researchers.
