RESUME,

This work entitled <<Problems encountered in the teaching and learning of English in multilingual Educational Context:A case study of seventh form in selected Basic schools of Buraza commune has to study the problem that both teachers and learners are faced that is the interference.This work had been conduvted through three hypotheses that are:Teachers are not prepared to teach English in a multilingual situation ,teaching materials available do not make it easy to teach English in a multilingual situation.In order to achieve the findings,we took five basic schools choses among fifteen schools with seventh form of Buraza commune.The total number was 356 and the sampled population was 105 informants i.e 100 pupils and five teachers.In order to analyze data from the samples schools,the researcher used sets of questioning (teacher's questionnaire and pupils' questionnaire of seventhform in Basic schools) and classroom observation.
The findings from the data have revealed that teachers that teachers and learners face different problems in the teaching/learning process such as lack of teaching materials,language interference,lack of qualified teachers.Therefore ,recommendations are adressed to different partenersconcerned with the domain of the study namely the Ministry of Education,teachers of basic schools,course designers (BEPEF),learners and further researchers.
