RÉSUME,

Our work dealt with the possinility of exploiting the cut stones in Burundi using the basic rocks of Bujumbura-Rural. The macroscopic description showns that these are black, granular rocks with clear and dark minerals. Microscopy shows that they consist of ferromagnesian minerals such as amphiboles, pyroxenes, olivines, non-ferromagnesian minerals such as plagioclases and opaque minerals. The textures presented by these rocks are among others the holocrystalline texture grained, phanéritic,porphyritic and ophytic. Some techniques of size permitted by the means at our disposal and which can be applied to hard rocks such as sawdust, poished, dry meule and meule wet, chiseled for the three sites ( GASOZO, NYABIRABA, MUGERE ) as well as sbattu and Bushhammer for the NYABIRABA site have been made, For the part concerning the possibility of implementing a small size stone exploitation unit in Burundi, the: nvestmentcos, the estimated operating cost, the financing plan and a brief Outlook on the environment were discussed. The result of the financial and economic analysis of our work enables us to confirm that:

- This plant is acceptable since the NPV is positive 142876,8283 USD;
- Profitable, its TRI being 39% which means that every invested will secure 139 USD and TP of the projet is also greater than 1,i.e.5.5

From an economic pint of view, the project will:
-redace imports;
- Promote and modernize cut stone in Burundi and promote local ùonetary value;
-Increase the value added of the Electricity, oil and gas companies.
