This work entitled "An Assessment of Techniques Used to Test Reading and Writing Skills at the Junior Level of Burundi Secondary School" intends to chek whether the testing techniques used to test the reading and writing skills are apprpriate. Data were collected, presented, analysed and interpreted to do and complete this work. The interpretation of the data helped us to answer the research questions formulated by the rescarcher at the beginning of this work. After the analysis, the rescarcher proves that the techniques used to test reading and writing skills are inappropriate because teachers forget to teke into consideration the level of their students.
