This study aims at assessing the impact of grade repetition on pupils' performance in English. This work was motivated by the fact that the study of the English Language has attracted the internet of many researchers, but none was interested on repeaters' performance in that language. In view to assess the issue concerned, sthe work has to answer three research questions. The first was to know whether grade repetition affects students "performance in English, the second research question was to know whesther grade repetititon affects students" self - confidences in English, and the last one was to know whether grade repetition stigma impairs performance in English. Two types of questionnaires were used. One was designed for students and another for their English teachers. The data collected were put together, analytzed and interpreted. At the end of my research, I research, I realized that grade repetition affects students' performance in English, it also affects students' self-confidence in English, but also grade repetition stigma impairs performance in English.
