RESUME,
This study based on the topic<< Teachers' and learners' attitudes towards project aftermath coursebook in the teacher Training section.A study conducted in some selected secondary schools of Mwaro and Gitega province>> aims at investigating the teachers' and learners' attitudes towards project aftermath coursebook in the TTS of Burundi Secondary schools.
This study was motivated by the fact that teacher training section's learners are not good at English and do not feel at ease while learning it Whereas they are prepared to become future teachers.This study was conducted in Mwaro and Gitega provinces and involved teachers and learners From the " rd years in selected schools.Data from teachers and learners were collected using classroom observation and written questionnaires to both teachers and learners.Through this research,it was found out that teachers and learners from TTS have negative attitude towards their teaching and learning materials,that the coursebook used in the TTS does not match the learners' needs and that the coursebook in question does not develop all the four language skills at the same level.All this led the researcher to formulate recommendations to the government,to coursebook designers,to teachers,to learners and to the government,to coursebook designers,to teachers,to learners and to further researchers.The recommendations include changing or improving the coursebook used to teach and learn English in the TTSs with enough teaching materials,identifying learners' needs before designing any coursebook,etc.The recommendations,if considered,would contribute in changing or improving the coursebook used to teach and learn English in the TTS,equipping all the TTSs with enough teaching materials,identifying learners' needs before designing any coursebook,etc.The recommendations,if considered,would contribute in changing the negative attitude and then,enhance learners' performance in ENGLISH.
